
What is Semi Permanent Makeup?
Semi-Permanent make up, also known as Microblading, is a revolutionary method of inserting small amounts of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin in order to enhance a woman’s features. This state-of-the art procedure has been used by models, actors, and entertainers as a means of enhancing their appearance. Such as Eyebrow, Eyeliner and lips, it lasts about 9 months to 18 months.
Pre-Treatment Procedures
- Please avoid caffeine and heavy workouts for 12 hours prior
- It’s recommended to wash your hair prior to your appointment because you won't be able to for 24 hours after your treatment.
- A patch test is NOT required, although we can provide one for your at your request.
- AHA/Glycolic/Retin A preparations should not be used for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Chemical/Laser treatment should not be performed 6 weeks prior to treatment.
Brows:
- Please don’t have brow wax/ tint/ blunk/ lamination or any brow treatment 48 hours before your microblading appointment.
- Botox or fillers should not be performed 4 weeks before or after your treatment.
Eyeliner:
- No eye makeups/lash extensions
- If you wear contact lenses please bring something to store your lenses in and glasses wear post treatment, as you will not be able to wear these again on the day of the treatment or for a few days during the healing process.
Post-Treatment Procedures
- No water/ make ups or any products on the treatment area for 24 hours after the treatment.
- No steam, hot yoga, activities that would cause excessive sweating, etc for 24 hours after treatment.
- No down time is required after microblading procedure. It takes approximately 7-14 days for the Brows/Eyeliner to heal over, and about 1 month for the color to fully set in.
- A touch up within 6 weeks is recommended
